HNC: Sports Coaching and Development (Multi Sport Coaching)

The course prepares you for a wide range of roles in the sports sector, with core units in Coaching Theory, Sports Development, Professional Practice, and Anatomy and Physiology. You will complete the industry-recognised PDA in Sports Coaching, certified by Sportscotland and CIMSPA & build a coaching and sports development portfolio through self-arranged placements, supported by our strong links with Active Schools, Fife Sport and Leisure Trust, Active Fife, national governing bodies of sport, local clubs and schools. All of which will help you progress towards coaching and development roles across participation, performance and talent pathways

Who is this course for?

This course is designed for learners who already have some experience in sport – for example through school, college, club participation or volunteering – and want to take their next step into a more formal coaching or sports development role. It suits those who are currently looking to develop their coaching practice, gain recognised qualifications and build real-world coaching hours through placements supported by the college. It is ideal for anyone who aspires to a future career in sport coaching, sport development, PE, or further study such as HND or degree-level programmes in sport and exercise.

Graded Unit - allows the candidate to explore a topic that is of particular relevance to their own Future career aspirations.
