Who is this course for?

  • This course is ideal for individuals with a passion for applying creative solutions to story telling or communicating a message visually. If you wish to work in a Graphic Design Agency or set up as a Freelance Graphic Designer, this course, with exciting projects and input industry practitioners will give you a great start to your career.

What skills will I learn?

  • If you have an eye for shape, form, colour, typography, texture along with an interest in communicating visually then this is your ideal course! Graphic Designers and Visual Communicators create content for a wide variety of platforms and purposes including; social media content, website content, info-graphics, merchandising, advertising and printed or digital product promotion and advertising.
  • Using industry-standard Adobe products on high-spec MAC Studio computers will help you become very confident in the following key work-ready skills: Working with Creative Briefs and real clients; Planning, Resourcing, Presenting, Pitching, Evaluation, Working independently and collaboratively to tight timescales.

What will I study?

You will work on a range of projects designed to develop your individual and team working skills while working to client briefs. Potential projects include working with commercial clients, schools, community partnerships, and for other departments in the college. Key areas of study include: Creative Projects, Typography, Graphic Design, Mixed Media, Creative Process and Digital Imaging.
