My name is Faith, and I do Police Studies in Fife College.

I chose Fife College because not only was I closest to it, there are campuses everywhere and the campuses are quite nice.

And what brought me in really is the diversity and the different types of people there are, and the opportunities you get. I like being different. Here you don't get judged for it. You can be who you want.

The course I wanted to do was Police Studies, but I needed extra qualifications, so I took Business, Events and Tourism as a stepping stone. Once I completed that, then I got into the Police Studies course.

We went on a class trip to Abertay University, and I didn't know what I was going to do afterwards. But once we went on that trip, I was so fascinated, I just applied spontaneously and I thought I'd see what happens. And then it turns out I got an offer. And I did my graded unit and I got a B and I passed. So I'm going to university afterwards to do Psychology with Forensic Investigations.

The best thing about being in this college has been the people. The amount of support I got really helped me. There's a Department for Mental Health, and they saw I was struggling, and they reached out to me - they didn't wait until I did. They got me counselling, and they supported me with different types of help.

When I first started this course, it was difficult. I didn't think I was going to be able to do it. I didn't think I was going to be able to finish it. But right now, I'm happier than I've ever been, and it's quite nice, and I feel safe and secure. I'm able to do it!
