COURSE INFORMATION
This part-time evening course provides the opportunity for you to acquire a deeper understanding of cellular processes, physiological mechanisms, communication between organisms, and the biology of populations as they apply to the human species.
- An in depth understanding of Human Biology.
- Halbeath Campus Dunfermline - Tuesday 6-9pm ( 3 hours class time plus minimum 3 hours self-study)
- School of Health Science & Technology in St Johns Hospital, Livingston - Thursday 09.00-12.00pm (3 hours class time plus minimum 3 hours self study)

- Course assessment
- National 5 Biology at Grade C or above, however entry to the course may also be subject to successful completion of a diagnostic test.
- Mature students with relevant experience but without formal qualifications are encouraged to apply.
- A transition course will run 1 day a week in August 2022, to help students achieve on this programme.
- This course provides you with a biology qualification necessary for many HNC/HND courses.
- Combined with other qualifications, this may provide the requirements for university entrance.
- In any science field or nursing.
- Cost: approx. £360.
- You may be able to apply for Individual Training Account (ITA) funding up to £200. However, eligibility criteria apply so please contact the college directly if you wish to be considered for ITA funding.
