This introductory course is ideal for anyone with an interest in retrofit looking to build their foundation knowledge on the subject before further study.Delivered over 2 and a half days from our flagship Retrofit Hub at the Levenmouth Campus and supported by industry recognised trainers in green skills this course is a perfect first step in retrofit training.

- You will acquire hands-on skills in practical subjects such as basic joinery and plumbing.

- You will develop problem-solving, communication and collaboration skills which are vital for a successful career in the construction industry.
What will I study?
As part of this course, you will acquire hands-on skills in practical subjects such as;- Basic Carpentry & Joinery Techniques
- Basic Roof Tiling
- An Introduction to Basic Plumbing Tasks
- An Introduction to Domestic Retrofit including air tightness, and basic floor and wall insulation.
You will also work on a project to help you to understand the retrofitting of domestic buildings and develop core digital skills during online learning modules on green skills in construction.
