This theory-only training will sufficiently refresh delegates’ knowledge of the IPC Standard to enable them to continue to deliver training in how to correctly discriminate between an acceptable and unacceptable cable or wire harness assembly as specified in the IPC/WHMA-A-620 Standard.

IPC/WHMA-A-620 CIT Challenge Testing

Developed by IPC with support of the Wire Harness Manufacturer’s Association, IPC/WHMA-A-620 is the industry standard for cable and wire harness fabrication and installation. This course is designed for those candidates who are sufficiently confident in their existing knowledge to determine whether cable or wire harness assemblies are to be accepted or rejected, and the reasons why, that they can attempt the relevant IPC tests without the need for significant Instructor input. Fife College provides three levels of certification to the IPC Standards for individuals working in the electronics industry. Depending on your experience within the industry, you can become certified as a Certified Standards Expert (CSE), a Certified IPC Trainer (CIT), or as a Certified IPC Specialist (CIS).
