SVQ: Care Services Leadership and Management

This SVQ has been developed to meet the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) registration requirements for care managers. It provides a comprehensive, certificated qualification that equips individuals with a broad range of knowledge, skills, and values, enabling them to address the leadership and management challenges currently faced by care services.

What skills will I learn?

The qualification covers areas such as managing and developing yourself and your workforce within care services, leading and managing practice that promotes the safeguarding of individuals, health and safety in the work setting, and effective communication systems and practice.

Plus 4 optional units related to candidates' job roles and responsibilities within the work setting.

What career opportunities are there?

There is some overlap of Units between the different levels of SVQ, allow candidates to progress to other management SVQs as their job role develops of changes.
